Liveblog of the California Proposition 8 trial (going on now in San Francisco federal court). After 9 days of testimony for the plaintiffs, the defense calls it’s first expert witness.

So score one for the New Year’s resolution.
I also got a prescription for a mammogram, along with a lecture because I’m 47 years old and I’ve never had a mammogram. I will make that appointment tomorrow. AND KEEP IT.
Next up: finding a new GP because my doctor is a quack and I need a check up and referrals for all the other things I need to do.

We’re running through this development test for my 3yo’s daycare “conference,” and one of the questions we are supposed to ask her is, “Who do you see when you look in the mirror?”
I was expecting to hear her name, or maybe “me,” but she comes out right away with “yourself.” All the test wanted was a correct answer, which any of the above would have been. But the instant inclination...
